Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, welcomed former head of the Progressive Socialist Party, Walid Jumblatt, accompanied by Head of the Democratic Gathering and the Progressive Socialist Party, MP Taymour Jumblatt.
During the meeting, discussions reportedly focused on the regional situation, particularly the most recent developments in the Palestinian arena, especially the situation in Gaza and southern Lebanon. Additionally, Lebanese domestic affairs were addressed.
Jumblatt commended Qatar’s role, particularly its ongoing efforts and initiatives to halt the hostilities in Gaza, as well as its involvement within the Quintet Committee to assist Lebanon in overcoming the presidential crisis.
The former head of the Progressive Socialist Party, Walid Jumblatt, accompanied by the current head of the party, MP Taymour Jumblatt, also met with the Lebanese community in Qatar, at a reception held at the embassy headquarters in Doha, in the presence of t
he Lebanese Ambassador to the State of Qatar, Farah Berri, Mrs. Nora Jumblatt, and the Secretary of the ‘Democratic Gathering’ bloc MP Hadi Abou Al-Hassan.
