UNRWA Confirms Israeli Occupation Forces Displaced 40,000 Palestinians from Camps in Northern West Bank

Doha: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) confirmed Tuesday that the Israeli entity displaced about 40 thousand civilians from refugee camps in the northern West Bank.

According to Qatar News Agency, the displacement operations began in the Jenin camp over a period of three weeks, and extended to the Tulkarm, Nour Shams, and Al Far'a camps, stressing that thousands of Palestinian families have been forcibly displaced since the occupation forces began carrying out large-scale operations in the West Bank in mid-2023.

It stated that the repeated and destructive operations made the northern refugee camps uninhabitable, which led to the siege of the population in a periodic displacement, noting that more than 60 percent of the displacement in 2024 was the result of destructive raids and attacks.

The camps in the West Bank have become a major target for the occupation forces, which use air strikes, armored bulldozers, controlled explosions and advanced weapons against the population to force them to forcibly displace them.
