Ukrainian President: Russia Launched More Than 2,100 Air Strikes on Ukraine Last Week

Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia launched more than 2,100 air strikes on Ukraine during the past week.

According to Qatar News Agency, Zelenskyy mentioned in a social media post that Russian forces conducted the attacks using 1,200 guided aerial bombs, approximately 870 attack drones, and over 80 missiles of various types. He also highlighted that many Russian weapons contain components manufactured abroad, urging Ukraine's allies to tighten and enforce existing trade restrictions.

In another development, Ukrainian military authorities reported that the Russian army attempted to retake the Ukrainian-held town of Sudzha, located in Russia's western Kursk region, by deploying troops through a gas pipeline. The Ukrainian General Staff noted that an air reconnaissance team detected the Russian forces in time and successfully repelled them using missiles, artillery, and drones.
