Taman: The Ukrainian Armed Forces announced that it had struck the Taman oil and gas port in the Krasnodar Krai region in southern Russia. General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a statement that the attack on the port, located near the village of Volna, sparked a fire.

According to Qatar News Agency, Ukraine has regularly targeted energy facilities inside Russia, framing the strikes as a response to Russian attacks on its own energy infrastructure and as part of efforts to curb revenues that help finance Moscow's war effort. For its part, Russia has previously announced strikes on Ukrainian energy and military-industrial facilities using high-precision weapons.

Reports from Ukraine and Russia regarding the situation on the ground are conflicting, and these reports cannot be independently verified due to the ongoing war and fighting since Feb. 2022.
