Ukraine Says It Shot Down Six Missiles, 230 Russian Drones in 24 Hours

Ukraine: Ukraine's air force said Tuesday that its air defense units shot down six missiles and 230 Russian drones over Ukrainian territory in the past 24 hours.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement, the air force said its defenses intercepted 230 out of 270 drones, along with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and four KH-101 cruise missiles launched by Russia during an aerial assault.

The attack was repelled by air defense units, electronic warfare teams, drone units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's air force and air defense forces, according to the statement.

Since the start of the war on Feb. 24, 2022 - now in its fourth year - Russia and Ukraine have issued near-daily reports claiming to have repelled attacks by the other side. These claims cannot be independently verified due to ongoing combat conditions.
