Kyiv: The Ukrainian Air Force announced on Monday that its air defenses successfully downed 57 drones launched by Russia overnight.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia had targeted Ukrainian airspace during the night with 104 drones, striking various areas, including Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Chudovo, and Crimea.
In a statement, Ukrainian defense forces intercepted 57 drones, while 39 others disappeared from radar.
Since the conflict began in February 2022, Russia and Ukraine have frequently claimed to have downed each other's drones. However, independent verification of these claims remains challenging due to the ongoing war and the limited access to conflict zones for external observers.
