Ukraine: Over 944,000 Russian Soldiers Killed or Wounded since Start of War

Doha: The Ukrainian army announced Wednesday that the number of Russian military casualties since the beginning of the war on Ukrainian territory on Feb. 24, 2022, has risen to approximately 944,270, including 1,210 killed or wounded in the past 24 hours.

According to Qatar News Agency, this came from a statement issued by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It was reported that Ukrainian forces have destroyed 10,691 tanks since the beginning of the war, including 8 tanks yesterday, 22,307 armored combat vehicles, 26,774 artillery systems, 1,368 multiple launch rocket systems, and 1,141 air defense systems.

The statement added that 370 warplanes, 335 helicopters, 33,526 drones, 3,148 cruise missiles, 28 warships, one submarine, 45,621 vehicles and fuel tanks, and 3,860 special equipment units were also destroyed.

Moscow and Kyiv continue to issue conflicting field reports, which cannot be independently verified due to the conditions of the war and the ongoing battles now entering their fourth year.
