Ukraine Announces Knocking Out of Russian Ballistic Missile Plant

Doha: Ukraine announced Saturday that its military forces knocked out a ballistic missile manufacturing plant with locally manufactured Flamingo rockets in the Udmurt Republic in Russia. The plant is located in Votkinsk, approximately 1,400 km from Ukraine, and produces intercontinental ballistic missiles as well as short-range ballistic missiles, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a statement.

According to Qatar News Agency, the attack marks a significant development in the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia. The use of Flamingo rockets, which are locally manufactured, highlights Ukraine's capabilities in targeting and disabling critical military infrastructure within Russia.

The statement from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not specify the extent of the damage or the operational status of the Votkinsk plant following the strike. This development has drawn attention to the strategic importance of the Votkinsk facility in Russia's missile production capabilities.

The Votkinsk plant is a key installation for Russia, known for producing various types of ballistic missiles, including those with intercontinental and short-range capabilities. The impact of this attack on Russia's missile production and overall military strategy remains to be seen.
