Doha: Ukraine announced today that its air defenses intercepted 40 Russian drones, out of 52 launched over eastern and southern regions of Ukraine.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform reported that air defense units destroyed 40 drones in the east and south, 22 of which were destroyed by kinetic means, while 18 others were intercepted by electronic warfare systems.

Since the beginning of the conflict in February 2022, Russia and Ukraine have exchanged almost daily announcements of downing drones. However, verifying this information is difficult due to the ongoing wartime conditions, which have made access to combat zones and data verification difficult.
