London: The British Foreign Office announced today its strong opposition to the Israeli government's announcement on expanding its military aggression in the Gaza Strip.
According to Qatar News Agency, Minister for the Middle East and North Africa at the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Hamish Falconer, told the House of Commons (Parliament) that Britain "strongly opposes" the expansion of Israeli military operations in Gaza, adding that "any attempt to annex territory in Gaza would be unacceptable."
Falconer emphasized that Palestinian territories should not be cut off or subjected to any demographic change. He emphasized that Britain wants the war to end, an immediate ceasefire, the urgent provision of humanitarian aid, and a path to a political solution.
The Israeli occupation army has revealed a plan to implement a gradual military operation that includes broader operations in a specific area of the Gaza Strip, followed by a broader operation in other areas, indicating that the proposed plan calls for the operation to continue for several months, with reserve forces being called up to support field soldiers.
