Damascus: UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan discussed the Israeli attack on Qatari territory in a phone call today with French President Emmanuel Macron: Both leaders reiterated their condemnation of the assault, describing it as a violation of Qatar's sovereignty and a threat to the security and stability of the region.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussion also included a review of bilateral cooperation and joint work within the framework of the strategic partnership between their two countries. The UAE and French presidents emphasized the importance of intensified international efforts to advance the establishment of a Palestinian state based on the two-state solution, considering it essential for achieving security and stability in the Middle East.
They further reaffirmed their rejection of any Israeli attempts to annex the West Bank or parts of the occupied Palestinian territories or to forcibly displace Palestinians. Both leaders warned that such actions undermine regional stability and threaten the principle of a two-state solution in line with international legitimacy.
