UAE and Cyprus Presidents Discuss Bilateral Cooperation and Middle East Peace

Abu dhabi: HH President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, engaged in a phone call with President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic and developmental sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the call, the leaders also examined several regional and international issues of mutual interest, with a focus on developments in the Middle East and the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip. Both leaders stressed the importance of all parties adhering to the ceasefire agreement to alleviate humanitarian suffering in Gaza. They emphasized the necessity for the urgent, intensive, and safe delivery of aid to the affected population.

Furthermore, they underscored the importance of building on the ceasefire agreement to achieve lasting and comprehensive peace in the region. The leaders reiterated their commitment to the "two-state solution" as a means to secure regional peace and stability.
