Gaza City: Two Palestinians were martyred and several others injured Wednesday afternoon following an Israeli airstrike targeting a residential home east of Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip.
According to Qatar News Agency, approximately 70 Palestinians have been martyred and dozens wounded since dawn Wednesday as a result of heavy and sustained airstrikes launched by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip.
The IOF resumed its military offensive on Gaza on March 18, following a two-month pause under a ceasefire agreement that came into effect on January 19.
Throughout the ceasefire period, the Israeli entity repeatedly violated its terms by continuing airstrikes on various locations within Gaza, causing further casualties.
It also refused to implement the agreed-upon humanitarian protocols and tightened its blockade, exacerbating what has become an unprecedented humanitarian crisis in the Strip.
