Doha: An Iraqi security source said this evening that two drones were shot down in Erbil, in the Kurdistan Region of northern Iraq. The source said the drones were intercepted near the US consulate in Erbil, noting that the incident caused no damage.

According to Qatar News Agency, earlier in the day, Iraqi air defenses had downed two drones that attempted to target Erbil International Airport in the Kurdistan Region, with no reported casualties or material damage. This coincided with the interception of another drone attack targeting the US consulate building.
