Turkish, Russian Presidents Discuss Syria and Ukraine Over Phone

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, discussed bilateral relations and Israeli attacks on Syria in a phone call today. During the call, Erdogan stressed the threat posed to the entire region by Israeli violations following the withdrawal of Syrian security forces from Suwayda Governorate. He emphasized the importance of Israel not violating Syria's sovereignty and Turkey's commitment to ensuring the country's stability and security.

According to Qatar News Agency, Erdogan also highlighted the importance of starting a third round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, noting that his country will continue to host negotiations between the two countries if the parties set appropriate dates. The two presidents also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
