Doha: Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, and his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, discussed the latest developments pertaining to the war in Ukraine, over the phone on Saturday. Sources in the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the two sides also discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.

According to Qatar News Agency, the conversation between the foreign ministers highlights the ongoing diplomatic efforts by both countries to address the complexities of the conflict. Last week, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that Turkiye will continue to work towards establishing a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.
