Turkish President Discusses Regional, International Issues with Spanish Prime Minister

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed bilateral relations and regional and international issues in a phone call on Tuesday with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro S¡nchez.

According to Qatar News Agency, this engagement was highlighted in a statement issued by the Turkish Presidency's Directorate of Communications. During the call, Erdogan emphasized that the region will continue to yearn for peace as long as Israel's violations of international law in the Gaza Strip and elsewhere are not addressed.

He further underscored Turkiye's belief in the importance of the international community taking peace initiatives seriously, advocating for the revival of negotiations to end the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war.
