Turkish President and Austrian Chancellor Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations and Global Issues

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed, in a phone call today with Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker, ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in addition to a host of regional and international issues.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Turkish Presidency said in a statement that President Erdogan stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade and investment. He highlighted the potential mutual benefits that could arise from increased collaboration and the sharing of resources and expertise.

President Erdogan also addressed the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza, emphasizing the urgent need to deliver aid to the affected population. He reiterated Turkiye's commitment to providing support and underlined the importance of international cooperation in addressing the crisis.

In addition, Erdogan discussed Turkiye's efforts to end the ongoing war in Ukraine, expressing a desire for a peaceful resolution to the conflict. He also spoke about Turkiye's ongoing efforts to achieve stability in Syria, aiming to create conditions conducive to the safe return of refugees to their homeland.
