Doha: Turkish defense and aerospace industry exports increased by 29 percent in the first five months of this year, reaching $2.98 billion. Turkish President of Turkiye’s Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) Haluk Gorgun announced in a post on X platform on Monday that defense and aerospace industry exports reached $2.98 billion, a 29 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

According to Qatar News Agency, the significant growth in exports is attributed to the ongoing international cooperation activities facilitated by the SSB. Gorgun emphasized that Turkish companies have expanded their reach, now exporting to all corners of the world rather than focusing on specific regions.

The announcement highlights the strategic efforts of the SSB in enhancing the global presence of Turkey’s defense and aerospace sectors. The increase in exports underscores the success of these initiatives as Turkish companies strengthen their footprint in the international market.
