Trump Nominates Matt Gaetz as US Attorney General.

Washington: US President-elect Donald Trump has chosen Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida to serve as his attorney general. "Matt will end Weaponized Government, protect our Borders, dismantle Criminal Organizations and restore Americans badly-shattered Faith and Confidence in the Justice Department," Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform. According to Qatar News Agency, the choice of a 42-year-old congressman was the latest in a wave of Trump's nominations of candidates. Trump added that Gaetz would "root out the systemic corruption at DOJ, and return the Department to its true mission of fighting Crime, and upholding our Democracy and Constitution."
