The Speech delivered by HM King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the Throne Day is “an impressive” speech that “fits the post-Covid era”, said Sunday Former Japanese ambassador Takashi Shinozuka.

“The Royal speech was impressive and fitting for the post-Covid era”, Shinozuka told MAP news agency, stressing that the Sovereign sent important messages at national, economic and diplomatic fronts.

“His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s speeches have always been impressive given the Sovereign’s lofty views, His foresight and insightful vision, His firmness and the High Solicitude He bestows on His people”, said the former ambassador.

“Although the world is no longer under the threat of the pandemic, it still faces many challenges, and earnestness is indeed the watchword”, he added, stressing that Morocco has many assets to meet the challenges, as His Majesty the King has emphasized.

“I am confident that the Kingdom is capable of moving forward”, he said.

Shinozuka also cited the economic significance of the Sovereign’s speech, noting that Morocco has always attached great importance to the development of green hydrogen in particular.

“I’m very impressed to see this strategy taking shape”, he said, expressing hope that Japanese companies would become involved in this field.

Highlighting the emphasis placed in the Royal speech on the concepts of “seriousness” and “dedication” in rising to challenges, the former Japanese ambassador stressed the importance and strength of this message.

“To achieve a strong society in a strong state, one of the main guidelines of the New Development Model, it is essential for everyone to show earnestness”, he said, adding that Morocco, a nation known for its insight, “knows how to get things done when they need to be done, as royal calls have always been heeded”.

The former Japanese ambassador also underlined His Majesty the King’s unwavering attachment to the historical and civilizational relations with Algeria.

“His Majesty the King has always extended his hand, and I hope that this gesture of goodwill can lead to concrete results, for a united Maghreb would be a pole of stability and prosperity”, said Shinozuka. He also hailed the Sovereign, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, for His constant and unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and peace in the Middle East.
