Gaza city: Three Palestinians were killed and others injured on Saturday in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza City.

According to Qatar News Agency, an Israeli drone targeted a gathering of civilians in the Asqula area of the Zeitoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City, killing two people and wounding several others.

In a separate attack, Israeli forces struck a house near Al Alami Mosque on Al Zarqa Street, also in eastern Gaza City, resulting in one fatality and three injuries.

The ongoing Israeli offensive on Gaza, which began on Oct. 7, 2023, has now claimed 61,897 Palestinian lives and left 155,660 wounded, the majority of whom are women and children. Many victims remain trapped under rubble or in streets, with rescue teams unable to reach them due to continued bombardment and unsafe conditions.
