Three Militants Killed in Security Operation Northwest Pakistan

Bannu: Pakistani security forces announced Thursday the killing of three militants during a military operation in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in the northwest of the country. Local authorities reported that security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Bannu district, resulting in the elimination of the militants.

According to Qatar News Agency, this operation is part of a broader campaign against militant groups in the region. President Asif Ali Zardari has reiterated Islamabad’s determination to continue the war against terrorism until it is completely eradicated, highlighting the government’s commitment to addressing security threats.

A few days prior to the Bannu operation, the Pakistani army had announced the killing of three militants during a security operation in Panjgur district of Balochistan province in the southwest of the country. This series of operations underscores the recent escalation of military actions targeting militant strongholds, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces.
