Three Lebanese were injured Sunday in an Israeli airstrike, as Israel continues its military escalation through airstrikes and artillery shelling of villages and towns in southern Lebanon.
Lebanon’s Ministry of Health said in a statement that three people were injured with varying degrees of severity in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Beit Lif in southern Lebanon and were transferred to hospitals in the area.
The ministry indicated that the death toll from the airstrike launched by the Israeli entity on Saturday, on the town of Deir Siryan rose to two people after one person died of his wounds, noting that the remaining five wounded are in stable condition.
In a related context, field sources reported to the Qatar News Agency that Israeli warplanes launched two airstrikes Sunday in the vicinity of the Mahmoudiya area in the Jezzine district in southern Lebanon.
An Israeli drone also raided the town of Rab Thalatheen without causing any casualties. Israeli artillery shelling also targeted the northern
outskirts of the town of Ramyeh, while Israeli army artillery targeted the vicinity of Birkat Al Naqqar, south of the town of Shebaa, with phosphorous shells.
The Israeli entity continues its military escalation against towns and villages in southern Lebanon, coinciding with its brutal and ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, which has resulted in civilian deaths and injuries, and forced hundreds of families to flee their homes.
