Doha: Three people were killed and a fourth seriously injured Monday when a small helicopter crashed during a training exercise near a seaside resort on the Isle of Wight, England.
According to Qatar News Agency, British media cited Northumbria Helicopters as saying that one of its helicopters, a G-OCLV, had an accident during a training exercise. Police earlier reported that the helicopter crashed in a field near Ventnor.
An ambulance service spokesman stated that one person was taken to hospital. Wight, an island and county, is located at the northernmost point of the English Channel off the southern coast of England, south of Hampshire.
