Ramallah – Ma’an – The Prisoners’ and Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs Authority and the Prisoners’ Club announced today, Monday, that they have obtained approval from the Israeli occupation authorities to visit detainees in the Gaza Strip next July, stressing that this approval remains subject to any amendments or developments that may occur, in light of the great restrictions imposed on them. The occupation imposed it on Gaza detainees and on the work of human rights institutions.

The Commission and the Prisoners’ Club added, in a joint statement, that in light of the dangerous situation, and since the first day of the war of genocide and arrests, the Commission’s and the Club’s lawyers made every possible effort to reveal the fate of Gaza detainees, but their efforts collided with the refusal of the occupation authorities and the administration of its prisons and courts to deal with them, until they There have been recent amendments to the legal regulations for Gaza detainees, which allow revealing their places of d
etention and visiting them later. There are efforts, in cooperation with other institutions, to follow up on the issue of Gaza detainees, which poses the most important and greatest challenges facing the institutions, and ‘we have obtained approval to visit them next July.’ However, this approval remains subject to any amendments or developments that may occur, in light of the significant restrictions imposed by the occupation on Gaza detainees and on the work of human rights institutions.’

The Prisoners’ Commission and the Prisoners’ Club called on all members of our steadfast people not to deal with the incitement operations carried out against the institutions, by broadcasting incorrect allegations that there is a failure to follow up on Gaza detainees, and some went so far as to communicate with the families of detainees to obtain power of attorney to visit their children in exchange for financial sums. l exploitation.

They stressed their national, moral and humanitarian duty to follow up on the Gaza detainees, ‘whose patience, steadfastness and sacrifices are a source of pride for us and for all Palestinians, and we will spare no effort in following up on their cases and exposing the organized crimes they have been subjected to.’

It is noteworthy that the war of genocide against our people in the Gaza Strip since the seventh of last October was accompanied by mass arrest campaigns against our people in the Strip, whose number is estimated in the thousands, and their forced disappearance, and the use of the law to consolidate the crime of enforced disappearance against them, as it refused The occupation revealed the names of the detainees or any data related to them, as well as their living, living and health conditions, and prevented legal teams from visiting them.
