The Civil Coalition condemns the crimes of shooting civilians and members of the Hebron municipality

The Civil Coalition to Promote Civil Peace and the Rule of Law condemned the shooting and kidnapping that occurred yesterday in the city of Hebron against a member of the Hebron Municipality, Mr. Abdul Karim Farrah, and the previous attack on a member of the Hebron Municipal Council, Dr. Asmaa Al-Sharbati and her family, and all the shootings and attacks on public facilities and civilians outside the framework of the law, expressing his strong condemnation and condemnation of such unjustified acts of violence.

The coalition stated that these repeated attacks in Hebron Governorate constitute a serious threat to the security and stability of our society, and those responsible must be held accountable within the framework of the law.

The Civil Coalition also denounced any violent act targeting members of municipalities, public officials, or citizens, and we demand the necessity of an urgent and transparent investigation into these events, and ensuring that those involved are held accountable and brought to justice in order to achieve security for all citizens and representatives of local bodies.

He said that such violent events undermine the efforts of the municipal council and hinder its ability to perform its duties effectively because municipal councils play a crucial role in providing services to citizens, and when their members are exposed to threats or violence, this can lead to a decrease in their participation in public affairs, which affects their ability. To meet the needs of the community. These and other attacks on council members also undermine public confidence in the local government, affecting the relationship between citizens and state institutions. It inevitably leads to a threat to the societal fabric and civil peace.

He called on the security authorities to quickly uncover the circumstances of this crime, ensure security and stability for all citizens, stand firm and take all necessary measures to prevent and combat such violent events, work to enhance security, intensify their efforts to provide protection for all citizens and local officials, and provide full support to citizens and members of the city of Hebron.

The coalition affirmed: We stand with the members of the Hebron municipality in this difficult time, and we express our solidarity with them and our support for them in confronting this cowardly attack.
