Jerusalem – Together – ‘Teklinik’, a health technology company, within its ongoing MEDTECH program, organized an educational meeting at the College of Nursing affiliated with Al-Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem, with the aim of introducing the company, its activities and what it offers, and learning about the rest of its programs to develop entrepreneurship and artificial intelligence in the health sector, in addition to encouraging… Pioneering ideas in the field of developing and integrating the health field with technology and artificial intelligence through the ‘MedTech’ program were presented by an elite group of health sector specialists.
The meeting, which was attended by many workers in the health sector, began with a speech delivered by the Director of Technical Programs at Techlink Company, Engineer Jaafar Mahfouz, where he touched on the nature of the company, its vision, goals and future plans, and its current focus in the field of developing health and technology to reach its maximum achievements
, and stressed the company’s readiness to embrace Pioneering ideas in the fields of health and contributing to their implementation on the ground, from the seed stage until reaching global markets. The project is funded by the ‘USAID’ and in partnership with a number of medical companies, research centers and ancient hospitals such as Shaare Zedek Hospital and Sheba Hospital, in addition to the investment company. For his part, Director of Technilink Company, Mahmoud Khwais, stressed that the company’s main goal, through its various programs and activities, is to advance the technological health sector in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
The project manager, Dr., explained. Rana Al-Qawasmi said that the target group of the project is all workers in the health and technology sectors, including doctors, nurses, and engineers. She explained the plan followed in the series of educational workshops and the available capabilities.
In the context of the topic, Professor Abdullah Al-Bwairat, an e
xpert in neurology, explained, via Zoom, the role of technology and artificial intelligence in the emergence of the latest innovations in treating incurable diseases in neurology and psychiatry, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, and how technology has helped facilitate the procedure of treatment without surgery. It preserved the patient’s life and its quality, and saved the effort, time, and hassle of traveling abroad for treatment.
Dr. also touched on Anan Copti, founder of SynergyMed, presented his invention to treat breast cancer without the need for surgery. He is a researcher in physics and health sciences and an expert in medical devices, machines and equipment.
Copti explained the steps and stages that any technological pioneering health idea goes through, from the beginning until its application on the ground. He pointed out the contribution of technology and artificial intelligence to the development, invention, and manufacture of electronic medical devices, as they have become more accurate, fa
ster, and less effortful. He explained the treatment of cancer without surgical and chemical intervention using nanoparticles, which achieved amazing results in laboratory experiments.
Artificial intelligence expert, Professor Khalil Eid from Nazareth, presented examples of innovative inventions that are based on artificial intelligence to find both therapeutic and administrative medical solutions. He also explained the importance of data analysis in treating patients.
Dr. Renana Ovan, Executive Director of the Scientific Research Department at Shaare Zedek Hospital, reviewed the most important ways that help hospitals establish scientific and research centers within the hospital. She explained Shaare Zedek’s experience in developing the center and how the hospital benefited financially from this center that it manages.
For her part, Ms. Anya Aldan, Executive Director of the investment company Nouri Ventures, explored the opportunities that help entrepreneurship in health technology and also reviewed some
of the challenges and how to deal with them.
In conclusion, Engineer Mahmoud Sandouka and Engineer Omar Al-Hadmi reviewed their success story in entrepreneurship through an introductory presentation of their invention, which will soon see the light in the markets.
