Finance Minister, Kinan Yaghi discussed with Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Ehsan Khandozi and his accompanying delegation ways to enhance joint cooperation between Syria and Iran in the sectors of insurance, banking, customs, taxes and fees.
Yaghi affirmed during his meeting on Thursday with Khandozi at the headquarters of the Ministry of Finance in Damascus that the two sides discussed practical steps to enhance economic and financial cooperation between the two countries.
Yaghi pointed out to the depth of the strategic relations between the two friendly countries.
In turn, Khandozi stressed the importance of expanding cooperation prospects in all financial, customs and banking fields, especially in the insurance sector.
Khandozi noted his country’s continuation in boosting bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries and developing them to serve common interests.
Both sides agreed to take the necessary steps to expand the level of cooperation and accelerate the completion of these steps in order to contribute to the development of joint economic relations, promote trade exchange, and take advantage from the experiences of the Iranian side, especially in the technical field.
