Aleppo: The Syrian Civil Aviation and Air Transport Authority announced Tuesday that Aleppo International Airport has been recommissioned, alongside the reopening of air corridors in the northern sector of the airspace toward Turkiye, effective from tonight.
According to Qatar News Agency, the authority emphasized that air traffic remains closed in the southern part of the country, including Damascus International Airport, until further notice. The statement attributed the closure to ongoing combat operations between Iran and the Israeli occupation, with Israeli missiles and combat jets penetrating Syrian airspace.
The authority clarified that the decision followed a comprehensive technical and security assessment, aiming to balance safety requirements with the need to maintain a minimum level of air connectivity.
