Sweden’s Duplantis Claims First Place in Pole Vault Event in Zurich

Zurich: Sweden's Armand Duplantis claimed first place in men's pole vault today at the 2025 Diamond League Final in Zurich, Switzerland.

According to Qatar News Agency, Duplantis, who holds the world record in the event, cleared a height of 6.00 meters, beating Greece's Emmanouil Karalis, who also cleared the same height but finished second due to more failed attempts, handing the victory to the Swede.

This result further strengthens Duplantis' chances of securing the Diamond Trophy at the end of the season. Although Duplantis had cleared 6.29 meters earlier this month in Budapest, he failed today to go beyond 6.00 meters, missing two attempts at 6.10 meters.

This marks Duplantis' sixth win of the season, as he has triumphed in every pole vault competition on the Diamond League circuit this year.
