Sultan of Oman Issues Royal Decree Restructuring Council of Ministers

Muscat: Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of the Sultanate of Oman on Monday issued a royal decree restructuring the Council of Ministers.

According to Qatar News Agency, the new cabinet includes several new ministers. Theyazin bin Haitham bin Tarik Al Said has been appointed as Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs. Bilarab bin Haitham bin Tarik Al Said will serve as Minister of State and Governor of Muscat. Saud bin Hilal bin Hamad Al Busaidi has been named Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth, while Dr. Khamis bin Saif bin Hamoud Al Jabri takes on the role of Minister of Economy. Ibrahim bin Said bin Ibrahim Al Busaidi will serve as Minister of Heritage and Tourism, and Anwar bin Hilal bin Hamdoon Al Jabri has been appointed Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion. The remaining ministers will continue in their current positions.

Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has also issued a royal decree for the establishment of the Oman International Financial Centre and has promulgated its bylaw.
