Khartoum: Chairman of Sudan's Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Abdel Fattah Al Burhan, met with Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki, who is visiting Sudan.

According to Qatar News Agency, the two leaders held joint talks focused on strengthening bilateral ties and activating cooperation across multiple sectors. Their discussions also addressed security matters as well as economic and trade relations.

The meeting further covered developments in Sudan and regional issues of mutual concern.
