Khartoum:Sudanese Prime Minister, Kamil Idris, engaged in discussions with the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Nabil Fahmy, on Monday to explore ways to support peace efforts and the national dialogue process in Sudan.

According to Qatar News Agency, Fahmy, who is currently visiting Sudan, expressed his support for the Sudanese initiative presented to the UN Security Council in December 2025. He highlighted the significance of this initiative in efforts to end the ongoing war, tackle the crisis in Sudan, and promote the possibility of achieving a comprehensive political settlement that is both led and owned by the Sudanese people.
