Doha: The Sudanese Armed Forces announced Sunday that they have taken control of the strategic city of Al Qutina, located in the central part of the country. In a statement, the Armed Forces confirmed that they also managed to open the road to Al Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan state, and lift the siege on the city.
According to Qatar News Agency, these developments are part of the ongoing conflict between the Sudanese army and Rapid Support Forces, which has been raging since mid-April 2024.
