Doha: HE Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Faisal bin Abdullah Al Hanzab met with HE Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of South and Central Asia Mary Bischoping, and her accompanying delegation, currently visiting the country. During the meeting, they discussed the close strategic relations between the State of Qatar and the US and ways to support and strengthen them, the latest developments in Afghanistan, and regional and international efforts to achieve security and stability there.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions highlighted the importance of the partnership between Qatar and the US in addressing regional challenges. Both parties expressed mutual interest in expanding cooperation to foster peace and stability in South and Central Asia. The talks also covered collaborative initiatives and shared goals for advancing diplomatic and humanitarian efforts in Afghanistan.
