Doha: Somali authorities announced on Saturday that the Somali National Army captured two areas in the Lower Shabelle region from Al Qaida-affiliate, Al Shabaab group.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Somali Army regained full control of the areas of Sabid and Anole by conducting a well-coordinated and carefully executed operation, adding that the army is currently conducting security clearance and stabilization operations in those areas.
