The Somali National Army (SNA) announced that it has destroyed some secret hideouts of Al-Shabaab movement affiliated with Al Qaeda during a military operation in some areas in the Lower Jubba region of Somalia.

The army forces managed to capture a group of individuals suspected to be affiliated with the movement, Somali National News Agency (SONNA) stated on Monday.

Meanwhile, Somali security apparatuses announced on Sunday the killing of 40 militants from Al-Shabaab in a security operation south of the country.
