Doha: The Shura Council convened its regular session at Tamim bin Hamad Hall, chaired by HE Speaker Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim. At the meeting's commencement, HE the Speaker extended greetings to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and the people of Qatar on the approaching Ramadan, wishing health and prosperity for the community.
According to Qatar News Agency, the session featured the attendance of HE Minister of Justice Ibrahim bin Ali bin Issa Al Hassan Al Mohannadi. The Minister and his team presented the Ministry's strategic plan and discussed various topics related to justice operations. The council members lauded the Ministry's efforts to enhance the justice system, improve legal services, and align with Qatar National Vision 2030.
HE Al Mohannadi outlined the Ministry's Strategic Plan 2025-2030, highlighting achievements in legal sectors, including advancements in automation and international cooperation, and projects like the Qatar Legal Portal and Real Estate Registration System. The Minister also noted reduced service fees and expanded exemptions to stimulate the business environment.
The Ministry reviewed numerous government contracts and agreements, contributing to digital transformation and legal regulation advancements. It launched video-communication services for real-estate transactions and integrated services with the Qatar Digital ID system to facilitate online transactions.
Al Mohannadi emphasized the Ministry's role in electronic real estate registration, enhancing investment stability in real estate projects. He also highlighted the Legal and Judicial Studies Center's initiatives and the Arab Judicial Excellence Shield award.
In law firm oversight, the Ministry registered attorneys and transitioned to electronic transactions. It launched platforms and applications for attorneys, integrating them with Qatar Digital Identity and introducing the "Sanad" support program.
The Minister addressed international conventions and expert supervision, noting registration, classification, and digitalization efforts. He discussed the arbitration system, including judgments, licensing, and digital solutions, and the issuance of legal fatwas aimed at reducing lawsuits.
The session concluded with the Shura Council members commending the Ministry's strategic implementation and digital advancements. They emphasized the importance of developing legal systems, aligning legislation with economic and technological progress, and fostering investment attractiveness.
HE Al Mohannadi affirmed the Ministry's commitment to strategic projects, focusing on service automation and integration with government entities. He stressed the Ministry's dedication to enhancing legal competencies and incorporating Council feedback.
