Doha: Sheikh Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center, in collaboration with Al-Manarain Center at Education City Mosque, organized a lecture titled Preparing for Ramadan presented by Omar Suleiman. The event, held at Imam Muhammad bin Abdulwahab Mosque, was attended by over two thousand men and women, all English speakers.
According to Qatar News Agency, Omar Suleiman emphasized the importance of maintaining hope in Allah’s mercy and encouraged attendees to continuously strive for self-improvement, engage in righteous deeds, and reflect on the qualities of believers as described in the Quran. He highlighted specific references such as Surah Al-Ma’arij, Surah Al-Mu’minun, the qualities of the servants of the Most Merciful in Surah Al-Furqan, and Surah Al-Hujurat, noting that these passages represent ideal benchmarks for self-assessment and behavioral correction in anticipation of Ramadan.
This event is part of the Islamic Culture Department’s preparations for Ramadan at Sheikh Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center. It underscores the ongoing cooperation between the two centers in serving Muslims who communicate in languages other than Arabic and aims to promote cultural and advocacy communication.
