Jerusalem: Settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque under heavy protection from Israeli occupation forces.

According to Qatar News Agency, citing eyewitnesses, dozens of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque and performed Talmudic and provocative rituals in its courtyards.

The occupation police turned the Old City of occupied Jerusalem into a military zone, deploying hundreds of police officers at close intervals, especially at the gates of Al-Aqsa. They also tightened military procedures at the entrances to the Old City and Al-Aqsa mosque, imposing restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshippers, WAFA added.

Since the beginning of the comprehensive Israeli assault on Gaza and the West Bank in Oct. 2023, the occupation forces have intensified their measures at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the entrances to the Old City.
