Napoli: Napoli claimed a narrow 1-0 victory over Lecce on Tuesday in the opening match of the ninth round of Italy's Serie A.

According to Qatar News Agency, the win was secured by Cameroonian midfielder Frank Anguissa, who scored the game's only goal in the 69th minute. Earlier in the match, Anguissa missed a penalty in the 50th minute.

With the result, Napoli extended its lead at the top of the table to 21 points, three ahead of second-place Roma. Lecce, meanwhile, remains in 16th place with six points after suffering its fifth league defeat of the season.

The round continues on Wednesday with six fixtures, including Juventus vs. Udinese, Roma vs. Parma, Bologna vs. Torino, Genoa vs. Cremonese, Inter Milan vs. Fiorentina, and Como vs. Verona.
