Tianjin: The largest summit in the history of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) kicks off Sunday in the northern coastal city of Tianjin, China. The event features a prominent presence of over 30 heads of state and government, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with officials from several international and regional organizations.
According to Qatar News Agency, Chinese President Xi Jinping will chair the summit and the "SCO Plus" meeting, where he is expected to deliver keynote speeches focusing on ways to empower the SCO and strengthen the global governance system.
The member states are also set to adopt a series of documents during the meeting aimed at deepening cooperation in security, economic, and cultural fields. This move seeks to enhance integration and coordination among the participating countries.
