Riyadh:The Saudi Energy Minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, emphasized the critical nature of energy security in light of recent regional developments affecting supply routes and infrastructure. His remarks were made during the opening of the 25th WPC Energy Congress.
According to Qatar News Agency, Prince Abdulaziz stressed that the resilience of energy systems is not solely determined by production capacity and infrastructure but also by the ability to maintain, repair, and adapt under pressure. He affirmed Saudi Arabia's role in supporting global energy reliability through its demonstrated resilience.
The minister further emphasized the necessity of integrating energy security with energy transition, advocating for a future where energy is accessible to all. He underscored the inseparability of these two goals.

He highlighted the significance of continuous investment in the energy sector and the role of technologies such as artificial intelligence and carbon storage in its evolution.
