Doha: The Saudi Civil Defense announced the death of two individuals and the injury of 12 others following the fall of a military projectile on a residential site in Al-Kharj governorate.

According to Qatar News Agency, the official spokesperson of the Saudi Civil Defense highlighted that the civil defense personnel handled the projectile, which fell on a residential site of one of the maintenance and cleaning companies in Al-Kharj governorate. This tragic incident resulted in the deaths of two individuals from Indian and Bangladeshi nationalities, as well as injuries to 12 residents, all of whom are of Bangladeshi nationality. The incident also caused material damages.

The spokesperson emphasized that attempts to target civilian objects represent a clear violation of international humanitarian law. They further clarified that appropriate measures have been enforced in response to such cases.
