Saudi Arabia Condemns Iranian Attack on US Embassy in Riyadh

Doha: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned the recent Iranian attack on the US embassy in Riyadh, describing it as "cowardly and unjustified." Saudi authorities stressed that the repeated attack violates international law, including the 1949 Geneva Conventions and the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which grant immunity to diplomatic premises and staff, even in times of armed conflict.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Kingdom warned that such Iranian actions, despite knowledge that Saudi Arabia will not permit its territory or airspace to be used to target Iran, risk further escalation in the region. Saudi Arabia reiterated its full right to take all necessary measures to protect the security of its territory, citizens, residents, and vital interests, including the option of responding to the aggression.
