Saudi and Italian Foreign Ministers Engage in Talks to Bolster Economic and Regional Cooperation

Riyadh: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah held talks on Thursday with his Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani on ways to strengthen bilateral relations, as well as regional and international issues of common concern.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, the two sides praised the economic ties between their countries, noting that trade exchange exceeded 12 billion USD in 2024, and expressed hope for further progress in economic cooperation in the coming period.

They also discussed the importance of continuing coordination on all regional and international issues, supporting efforts to achieve peaceful solutions and end conflicts - particularly in Gaza - emphasizing the need to take all necessary steps to deliver humanitarian and relief aid to the Strip in full cooperation with international mechanisms. The two ministers further touched on the importance of resolving the Ukrainian crisis through peaceful means.
