Samsung Unveils Galaxy A56 with Major Upgrades

Doha: Samsung has launched the Galaxy A56, bringing several big upgrades. One of the biggest highlights is 45W wired fast charging. Previously, this feature was only available in flagship models. Other key improvements include the Exynos 1580 chipset, a larger 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, and a sleeker design.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Galaxy A56 is thinner and more refined than its predecessor. It measures just 7.4mm in thickness, making it easy to hold. The camera island has also been redesigned. Samsung has removed protruding lenses, creating a cleaner look.

The 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display now has smaller bezels on all sides. It delivers 1,900 nits peak brightness and 1,200 nits in high brightness mode (HBM). This ensures great visibility even under sunlight. The Full HD+ resolution remains, along with Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection for extra durability.

AI-driven improvements make a difference. The Galaxy A56 now has better low-light photos, context-aware enhancements, and faster continuous shooting. Switching between the main and ultra-wide cameras is now twice as fast, taking just 430 milliseconds.

This is the first time the Galaxy A series gets the 45W wired charging, which was previously reserved only for select Galaxy S flagships. Samsung calls it Super Fast Charge 2.0, and it should fill 65% of the 5,000 mAh cell in 30 minutes, while 0-100% should take 68 minutes.
