Samsung Tops Automotive Memory Chips Market

Doha: Samsung Electronics topped the global automotive memory chip market last year, becoming the world leading supplier of chips and surpassing US chipmaker Micron.

According to Qatar News Agency, Samsung share of the global automotive memory chip market rose to 40% last year, up from 35% in 2024. During the same period, Micron market share declined from 40% to 36%, placing it in second position.

Market analysts noted that Samsung Electronics benefited from growing demand for advanced memory chips as autonomous driving systems become more widespread and in-vehicle infotainment systems continue to evolve rapidly across various vehicle segments.

The South Korean chipmaker supplies automotive memory chips to many of the world leading companies.
