S. Korea Presidents Senior Aides Offer to Resign en Masse.

Seoul: Senior aides of South Korea's President Yoon Suk Yeol, including his chief of staff, have offered to resign en masse, the presidential office announced. This development follows the National Assembly's action to block President Yoon's unexpected declaration of martial law. According to Qatar News Agency, the aides offering their resignation include Chung Jin-suk, the presidential chief of staff; National Security Adviser Shin Won-sik; and Sung Tae-yoon, chief of staff for policy, along with seven other senior aides. The resignation offer emerged after President Yoon declared martial law on Tuesday night, accusing opposition parties of being "anti-state forces" that hinder the nation's governance through impeachment motions and a reduced budget bill. The martial law declaration by President Yoon was subsequently lifted following a unanimous vote by the National Assembly early Wednesday, demanding the repeal of the martial law.
